Island Arc Exploration Corp. Completes $200,000 Non-Brokered Private Placement

| | Island Arc Exploration Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed a non-brokered private placement of 2,000,000 Units at a price per Unit of $0.10 for gross proceeds of $200,000. Each Unit consists of one common share in the capital of the Company and one non-transferable share purchase warrant, each warrant entitling the holder thereof to acquire one additional common share in the capital of the Company at a per share price of $0.15 until August 20, 2011, subject to accelerated expiry in certain circumstances. All securities issued are subject to a four month hold period until December 21, 2009.
The proceeds from the private placement will be used for general corporate purposes.
